Dennemeyer Group vs. WhitServe – Dennemeyer achieves legal security for its clients and settles dispute with WhitServe LLC

The Dennemeyer Group informed its clients about a legal dispute with WhitServe LLC regarding alleged infringement of certain US patents held by WhitServe LLC that culminated in a lawsuit before the District Court of Connecticut, USA, in the course of 2010.
We are pleased to announce today that the Dennemeyer Group has achieved legal security with regard to this law suit for the products and services offered to its clients and that WhitServe LLC has withdrawn the pending action.
The settlement between Dennemeyer Group and WhitServe LLC has worldwide reach and covers all products and services offered by all companies of the Dennemeyer Group, including law firm Dennemeyer & Associates, past, present, and future. The scope of the agreement spans from Dennemeyer’s IP management software products DIAMS classic, DIAMS XE, and DIAMS iQ, over worldwide patent annuity payment, trademark renewal and recordal services to IP filing and prosecution services and consulting. In addition, the granted license expressly includes the use of Dennemeyer’s products and services by its clients.
“It is more important for us to ensure legal security for our clients today, than to obtain a favorable judgment some years later, which affirms that Dennemeyer’s products and services do not infringe these US patents of WhitServe”, says Dr. Richard Brunner, Global Head of Legal.
